Nursing Education Mobility Pathway (NEMP)

Part-time Practical Nursing Program

Prior to enrolling, students must meet the Practical Nursing program admission requirements before acceptance into the Part-time Practical Nursing Program.

Prior education certificate or degree must have included completion of the following:
   MNA 100 or its equivalent
   Anatomy & Physiology course (AHS 109 or BIO 135 or higher)
   Computer Literacy Course (CPU 150 or CIS 100)
   Communications Course (COM 181 or COM 252 or TEC 200 or ENG 101)

PART-TIME PRACTICAL NURSING SCHEDULE
CLASSES ARE ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 8-4.

Semester One: (9 credit hours)

NPN 115--Practical Nursing Bridge Course (6)
Upon completion of this course the student will be awarded 4 hrs of Advanced Standing Credit

AHS 100--Human Growth and Development or PY 110 and PSY 223 (3 or 6)


Semester Two: (9 credit hours)

NPN 130--Pharmacology II (3)
NPN 135--Introduction to Health Deviations (6)

Semester Three: (6 credit hours)

NPN 120--The Childbearing Family (3)
