Nursing
Assistant Program To become a nursing assistant in a long-term care
facility the individual must complete a basic 75-hour (3 credit hour) course designed
to provide the knowledge and skills for a nursing assistant to assume the role
and responsibilities required in long-term care. The focus of this course is communication,
infection control, safety, residents' rights, and basic nursing skills.
We offer two courses: NAA
100 - Nursing Assistant Skills I KMA
100 - Kentucky Medication Aide (This course is structured for long-term
care employees) We also offer a Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA)
course for individuals
who are nurse aides. Download our program
