Nursing Assistant Program

To become a nursing assistant in a long-term care facility the individual must complete a basic 75-hour (3 credit hour) course designed to provide the knowledge and skills for a nursing assistant to assume the role and responsibilities required in long-term care. The focus of this course is communication, infection control, safety, residents' rights, and basic nursing skills.

We offer two courses:

NAA 100 - Nursing Assistant Skills I

KMA 100 - Kentucky Medication Aide (This course is structured for long-term care employees)

We also offer a Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) course for individuals who are nurse aides.
