Frequently
Asked Questions Do I get a card? or Can I get my card replaced? Nurse
Aide cards are no longer issured or replaced. I'm not sure if I
am active or not. How can I find out? Contact KBN at 888-530-1919.
My registration has lapsed. What do I need to do? An individual
that expires on the registry must repeat the course. They are not allowed to challenge
the test as of 12/2006. How often do I renew my registry?
Renewal is every 2 years.
What am I renewing? When the
individual renews, they are renewing their status with the Kentucky Nurse Aide
Registry not their card. It has been awhile since I took the course
but never completed the exam. Can I take the test now? You have 12
months after completing the course to take the exam. To test at our facility,
we need a letter on company letterhead from the facility stating you completed
the course. Is my registration good for another state? or Is
my registration from another state good for Kentucky? No. KBN can
be contacted at 502-329-7031 to determine if reciprocity can be granted with the
other state. Do you offer a KMA (Medication Aide) class?
