Do I get a card? or Can I get my card replaced?

Nurse Aide cards are no longer issured or replaced.


I'm not sure if I am active or not. How can I find out?

Contact KBN at 888-530-1919.

My registration has lapsed. What do I need to do?

An individual that expires on the registry must repeat the course. They are not allowed to challenge the test as of 12/2006.

How often do I renew my registry?

Renewal is every 2 years.

What am I renewing?

When the individual renews, they are renewing their status with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry not their card.


It has been awhile since I took the course but never completed the exam. Can I take the test now?

You have 12 months after completing the course to take the exam. To test at our facility, we need a letter on company letterhead from the facility stating you completed the course.

Is my registration good for another state?
or Is my registration from another state good for Kentucky?

No. KBN can be contacted at 502-329-7031 to determine if reciprocity can be granted with the other state.

Do you offer a KMA (Medication Aide) class?
