Advanced Nursing Assistant
(NAA 115 and NAA 125)

The Advanced Nursing Assistant Certificate program is a 16 credit hour program that provides the knowledge and skills necessary for a nursing assistant to assume the roles and responsibility required in a variety of healthcare settings.

Students can build upon their previous nursing assistant course or can start at the beginning with a six credit hour nursing assistant course. Students will receive in-depth instruction and will spend their clinical hours in an acute-care hospital setting.

Also required for completion of the certificate are the following courses: anatomy and physiology, computer literacy, and communications.

Students who obtain the Advanced Nursing Assistant Certificate may apply for the Practical Nursing Bridge program when available.
