| At
West Kentucky Community and Technical College we offer several career options
in basic nursing. The college offers a course for the Medicaid Nurse Aide for
the individual seeking to become a Nurse
Aide. The Practical Nursing Program, prepares the graduate to become a Licensed
Practice Nurse. The Associate Degree Nursing Program prepares the graduate
to become a Registered Nurse.
The graduates of these programs have been meeting the needs of the local healthcare
community for over 40 years. Through their entry into the nursing profession,
these nurses have become the leaders, caregivers, teachers, and advocates who
make a difference every day in the health and welfare of the community.
Few of life's careers offer more rewards, diverse opportunities and excitement
than the nursing profession. Nurses are the backbone of healthcare! In fact, without
nurses there would be no healthcare. They are the safety net of the American healthcare
system. In addition, nursing is unique in that there is not one career
path. Not only are there many educational opportunities, there are as many ways
of reaching your career goals. To learn more about a career in nursing go to www.discovernursing.com.
